Description The Regional Project Monitoring Committee (RPMC) of the Regional Development Council – Ilocos Region spearheaded the conduct of the 1st Region 1 Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Forum on 04-06 May 2021.
This activity served as a venue for continuing and meaningful exchange of ideas, experiences and lessons among M&E practitioners and stakeholders in the Region. It also aimed to enhance the participation of other agencies and institutions in the RPMES.
The forum was composed of three major sessions: 1)Knowledge Sharing; 2) RPMES Conference; and 3) Project Monitors and Evaluators Association (PMEA) Region 1 Inc General Assembly.
ObjectivesThe following were the specific objectives of the forum:

A. Knowledge Sharing

  • Oriented and apprised the participants of the current M&E ecosystem;
  • Oriented the participants of the RPMES Operational Guidelines;
  • Informed the participants of the M&E Initiatives in NEDA Region 1;
  • Apprised the participants on how to design a results-based M&E System;
  • Apprised the participants on how to do M&E in the New Normal

B. RPMES Conference

  • Introduced and trained the participants on the enhanced RPMES online system;
  • Informed the participants of the agencies’ Program, Projects and Activities (PPAs) as contained in the 2021 General Appropriations Act (GAA), 2021 National Expenditure Program and 2021 Annual Investment Plan;
  • Informed the participants of the CY 2021 RPMES Monitoring Criteria;
  • Identified and enrolled the priority projects for CY 2021 in the eRPMES;
  • Informed the participants of the deadline of submission of projects to be enrolled in the eRPMES;

C. PMEA Region 1 General Assembly

  • Updated the members on the PMEA Region 1 Inc. activities and accomplishments; and
  • Elected new sets of PMEA Officers for CY 2021.
