NRO I and NRO VI Staffs who participated in the Online eRPMES v2 Training Workshop

The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Regional Office I conducted training-workshop on its online Regional Project Monitoring and Evaluation System (eRPMES) for NEDA Regional Office VI on February 2-4, 2022.  This in in line with the NEDA’s thrust to strengthen its knowledge management in the area of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) to ensure efficient and effective project monitoring and evaluation. The training-workshop was participated by the Project and Monitoring and Evaluation Division (PMED) and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) staffs of NEDA VI. The activity was organized after the deployment of NEDA I’s eRPMES v.2 to NEDA VI to digitalize the generation of its RPMES reports.  The eRPMES is an electronic and automated online system anchored on the RPMES Operational Guidelines and established to efficiently facilitate program and project implementation monitoring and evaluation of development projects.

The training-workshop tackled the operation of the eRPMES focusing on the data and information that can be generated from the e-system which include  the following: (a) Monitoring Plan; (b)  Accomplishment Report; (c) Project Exception Report; (d)  Completion Report; (e) Summary of Accomplishments; (f) Report on the Status of Projects Encountering Implementation Problems; (g) Project Inspection Report; (h) Report on  Problem-Solving Session/Facilitation Meeting Conducted; and (i) Correspondence Acknowledgement. The log-in procedures, operation and maintenance of the system and other ICT-related concerns were also discussed.  Hands-on activities were facilitated after every lecture to familiarize the participants with the features to ensure that they can operate the system upon completion of the training. Open forum sessions were also conducted to address queries and clarify matters. The staffs of NEDA I’s PMED and ICT Unit served as resource persons during the training.

In her message during the closing program, NEDA I Assistant Regional Director Irenea B. Ubungen expressed the commitment of NEDA I to provide assistance to NEDA VI towards the digitalization of their M&E system. For his part, NEDA VI ARD Arecio A. Casing, Jr. said that they are delighted with the assistance and support the NEDA I accorded them and expressed their eagerness and enthusiasm to use the system to improve the efficiency of their M&E function.
