Description The updated Philippine Development Plan (PDP) – a whole-of-society approach for economic recovery and getting the country back on track towards achieving a “matatag, maginhawa, at panatag na buhay” for every Filipino by 2040 – needs to be cascaded and explained to the Filipino people. Even with the challenges brought about by the pandemic, Filipinos still need to understand that there is indeed a plan that takes account of both medium-term needs and their long-term aspirations.
 
This caravan was initiated by the NEDA Central Office through the Development Information Staff (DIS), and was intended to collaborate with NEDA Regional Offices (NRO) and Attached Agencies of NEDA in order to design a tailor-fit event that is aligned to local issues per region.
ObjectivesThe Virtual Caravan, with the theme “Tayo Na, Bumangon para sa Ambisyon” aims to:
  • Promote the Updated PDP, with RDP as its regional countrpart;

  • Mainstream the AmBisyon Natin 2040; and

  • Reach more sectors on the ground
Target ParticipantsRepresentatives from the Regional Line Agencies (RLAs), Local Government Units (including barangays), academe, civil society groups, youth sector, business sector, and other marginalized groups.
